Actor Jang Ki Yong will be enlisting today.
The location and time of his enlistment will not be disclosed to the public due to pandemic concerns. His agency YG Entertainment stated, “Please wish him a safe return after faithfully completing his military duty.”
On August 22nd, the day before his enlistment, Jang Ki Yong took a moment to say goodbye to his fans using live-streaming on social media. He entertained his fans on his last official day as a civilian by wearing different headbands and giving them a brief moment to take some screenshots to leave as a memory.
Meanwhile, he has an upcoming drama, SBS’ Now, We Are Breaking Up, with Song Hye Kyo soon to be premiered in November.
The production team made an unconventional decision to hold a pre-recorded media conference for the upcoming drama series that won’t be released until the second half of this year. The team shared, “We decided to hold the conference a bit earlier because we thought it would be the best to promote the series with Jang Ki Yong present. Since the series is about the romance between the main actors, we wanted to show the relationship and screen-chemistry between the two.”
