Netflix has responded to reports of a second season for Sweet Home. On the 9th, Netflix gave feedback to Enews IMBC, saying, “So far, nothing has been decided regarding the production of Sweet Home’s second season.”
Will There Be a New Season to Sweet Home?
Previously, there have been rumors about the plans for the second season of Sweet Home. According to multiple insiders, Sweet Home is said to be in preparation for the second season. They reported that they are coordinating schedules with the actors, and the production would start later this year to release it next year. As a result, all the cast are reportedly gearing up for Sweet Home 2 to start filming in December.
The leading actors in season 1, Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, and Lee Si Young, have joined the next season’s cast list. Previously, Lee Jin Wook had shared his wish to show his character Pyun Sang Wook changing and growing up in season 2. Lee Si Young also wondered what will happen to Seo Yi Kyung’s unborn baby.
Netflix unveiled Sweet Home in December last year. And during the first four weeks, more than 22 million Netflix subscribers have watched the show. It stood shoulder to shoulder with other original works like Alice in Borderland (18 million), Selena: The Series (25 million), and Just Another Christmas (26 million).
