Today, BTS has dropped their new CD single, Butter.
The released CD single includes “Permission to Dance,” co-written by English superstar Ed Sheeran, and “Butter,” currently spending its sixth week at the top of the Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
Immediately after its release, “Permission to Dance” entered the top of the Korean music charts on Bugs and Genie. And the music video released on HYBE’s official YouTube channel proved global interest by crossing 10M views in 40 minutes and recording 20,391,595 views in just three hours.
Like “Butter,” “Permission to Dance” is a bright and energetic pop song written in English. It is a catchy and uplifting song with piano and string sounds that makes people want to dance along.
Co-written by Ed Sheeran, Steve Mac and Johnny McDaid, who have composed a world hit song “Shape of You” together, have created the song with Jenna Andrews. Jenne Andrews has previously participated in making the song “Butter.”
