TV series Youngest Son of a Conglomerate has come up with the cast lineup. Song Joong Ki is in talks to lead the series.
According to Dong-A Dotcom, Youngest Son of a Conglomerate is based on a famous web novel of the same name. It’s a story of a man killed after being framed for embezzlement by a conglomerate family to whom he was loyal for over a decade. He returns the house as the youngest son of the family and plans revenge as he gradually takes over the conglomerate. After signing the rights for the original work in 2018, the series was scheduled to air in 2019. However, production has been delayed due to various circumstances. And just recently, the casting process went back on track. Now, Song Joong Ki is reviewing the offer to join the series as the main character.
It is likely to air in JTBC since it was considered a special project by the channel earlier. Therefore, it may take a slot during the first half of next year if the production starts early enough. And as there are many other characters besides the male lead, attention is drawn to the other roles as well.
Youngest Son of a Conglomerate plans to finalize the casting process by the summer. And the production will begin in the second half of the year after it completes the process during the fall.
