Amid Seo Ye Ji’s drop out of OCN’s series Island, Han So Hee was rumored to replace her role in the show. However, it has been confirmed that it is a false alarm.

On May 12th, Han So Hee’s agency, 9Ato reported NewsN that the rumor is groundless and Han So Hee will not make an appearance in Island. OCN added, “The female lead in Island is yet to be decided.”

Island is about digging into the secrets behind the beautiful Island of Jeju. Seo Ye Ji previously joined the series as the main character. However, they canceled her appearance due to the controversy over her private life with Kim Jung Hyun.

Han So Hee is a rising star who began her acting career with SBS’ Reunited Worlds in 2017 and became a star with JTBC’s The World of Married in 2020.

After Seo Ye Ji’s drop out, the production team reportedly began to revise the characters and scripts initially written based on Seo’s acting style. Attention is drawn to the actress who will replace Seo Ye Ji.
