SEVENTEEN has won the nomination for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs).
The group was listed on the official website for the nominees of the ‘Top Social Artist Awards’ on the 29th (EST). It is SEVENTEEN’s first time being finalists in the Billboards, making it more special for them. It proved how popular and influential they have become, as they stand along with other world-renowned artists.
In the live interview, SEVENTEEN talked about becoming a nominee for the award. “It’s an honor just to reach the finals for the Top Social Artist Award,” they said. “It’s such a monumental moment for us. And I want to thank our CARATs for giving us this moment. We are on the final list with great artists, so we are very happy and excited.”
SEVENTEEN has been making their way globally as their seventh mini-album Heng:garæ and a number of the foreign press has spotlighted the special album Semicolon. Moreover, they appeared on shows such as CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden, NBC’s The Kelly Clarkson Show, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The 2021 Billboard Music Awards will air on NBC at 8 PM on May 23rd.
