More celebrities have been confirmed with the coronavirus. Naturally, the entertainment industry has been put on high alert.
Recently, Shin Sung Rok, Jo Hyang Gi, and Jun Dong Suk tested positive for COVID-19.
On the 28th, Shin Sung Rok‘s agency HB Entertainment confirmed that the actor “was tested positive for the coronavirus while he was in the middle of his self-isolation.” Now, he is currently being treated at a COVID-19 treatment center.
However, no schedule adjustment will be needed for Master in the House, in which Shin Sung Rok is starring as a regular member. The production team shared, “Shin Sung Rok and Son Jun Ho came into contact after Master in the House‘s last shooting. So there will be no adjustments in our schedule with the rest of the members.”
TV personality Jo Hyang Gi was also confirmed with the virus. She was infected with COVID-19 when she filmed CTS’s (Christian Television System) show. With this news, the entire staff and cast of her JTBC current education program underwent the corona test and are waiting for the results. Her episode for TV Chosun’s Perfect Life will be broadcast as scheduled.
Musical actor Jun Dong Suk is another COVID-19 confirmed patient. Until recently, he performed the musical Phantom and was in the middle of practicing Dracula, set to premiere in May.
Son Jun Ho, who also stars in both musicals, was tested positive for COVID-19 first. And since then, Shin Sung Rok and Kang Tae Eul were also confirmed with the virus. As a result, Jun will be dropping out of Phantom early.
Earlier, Kwon Hyung Soo and Park Seri were also confirmed with COVID-19. In the music industry, D-CRUNCH’s Hyunwook and O.V have been diagnosed with the virus on the 24th.
