Actress Youn Yuh Jung won the Best Supporting Actress Award at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. In other words, the global critics have acknowledged her appearance in Minari.

On the morning of the 12th (KST), the actress made her acceptance speech through a video call. “Hello, Britain. I’m a Korean actress Youn Yuh Jung,” she began.

With a bright smile on her face, she said, ”I’m honored to be nominated for the Best Supporting Actress award at this event, but I didn’t expect to win an award.”

Youn Yuh Jung continued, “First may I express my deep condolences for the Duke of Edinburgh. And thank you so much for this award. I deeply appreciated it.” She then made a witty remark saying, “All the awards ceremonies are meaningful to me, but this award ceremony is especially meaningful. I’m happy that I’ve been recognized by the British people. Thank you so much to those who voted for me. Thank you very much, BAFTA.”
