Red Velvet’s Wendy is making a solo debut, and she will do so with two title songs in the album Like Water.
The singer’s first solo album will be released at 6 PM KST on April 5th through various music platforms.
A total of five songs will be included in the album, with “Like Water” and “When This Rain Stops” as its double title tracks. The prior is an acoustic-pop ballad that will shine a light on Wendy’s soft and pure vocals. Hit-song makers Yoo Young Jin and KENZIE will work with the producing team Coach & Sendo to complete the song’s sentiments.
The song’s lyrics will use raindrops as a metaphor to explain how people meet and flow into each other’s fate, much like how raindrops gather to form bigger bodies of water, such as the ocean. “Like Water” will hold Wendy’s gratitude for those who stood by her and hopes for the new journey that is to unfold.
