B.I will return to the K-pop scene.
According to his label 131 LABEL, B.I will be releasing the special donation album Midnight Blue under the “LOVE STREAMING” project on March 19 at 6 pm KST.
“LOVE STREAMING” is a project about how music becomes a warmth for the world as it resonates. B.I will donate the entire proceedings from the album and related content to the World Vision children’s charities.
B.I refined the tracks in the album himself to convey his feelings to his fans. The label explained, “It contains B.I’s humble heart of wishing to play a beneficial role in the world, reflecting on his past mistakes.”
B.I left iKON and YG Entertainment in June of 2019 when the drug suspicions arose. Last September, he was appointed as an executive director of IOK Company and established 131 LABEL. Recently, he took part in Epik High’s new album.
According to the label, B.I. has been donating and volunteering since last year. And earlier this year, he learned about the sponsorship of emergency child support projects in World Vision. After figuring out how he could support the livelihood and operating expenses of children in need, he prepared this donation album with demo songs he posted on SoundCloud.
