Blackpink’s Rose is showing overwhelming fandom power with her solo debut.

An official shared, “Requests to purchase R have been coming in from all over the world, including China, Southeast Asia, the United States, Japan, and Europe.” Since the number is expected to grow even more till the 12th, the release date of R, attention focuses on what history Rose will make with her long-awaited solo debut.

Blackpink became the first K-pop girl group to be listed on the Gaon Chart Million Certification List, surpassing 1.25 million copies in accumulated sales following the 1 million pre-orders with their first full-album The Album last year.

Rose will be continuing this momentum. In addition to the overwhelming pre-order volume, the 33-second teaser video for her sub-title song “Gone,” released in January, is heading for more than 50 million views on YouTube with more than 650,000 comments. Her first-ever solo title song “On The Ground” features mysterious instrumental arrangements, awesome drop parts, and Rose’s elegant vocals.

Meanwhile, Rose’s debut album R will be released on March 12 at midnight EST and 2 pm KST.
