As Jeon Hyun Moo and Kim Jong Min have been confirmed as emcees for KBS’ Korean New Year Special global project Chosun Pop Again, expectations have been rising.
KBS’ grand project for the 2021 Lunar New Year special, Chosun Pop Again, is designed to open an exciting new year amid the depressing COVID-19 situation, as it will demonstrate a new music genre named “Chosun Pop.” This new genre combines various music genres with Korean traditional music, as it will be presented globally.
Attention is especially focused on the two hosts, Jeon Hyun Moo and Kim Jong Min. Chosun Pop Again will be held as a form of mega-show, as the two will present an enjoyable escape from the boring daily lives indoors. With their proven hosting skills and chemistry with each other, they are expected to lead KBS’ ambitious New Year special as planned.
At the same time, the show has drawn attention by releasing a top-notch lineup which includes Leenalchi, ADG7, Kim Young Im, Song Ga In, Forestella, Song So Hee, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Shin Yoo, Park Seo Jin, and Na Tae Joo. The lineup is especially interesting as it represents various music genres such as Korean traditional music, crossover, trot, and hip-hop.
Furthermore, a group of online audience to be able to watch the performance before anyone else on January 30th is being recruited on the KBS website.
KBS2’s 2021 Lunar New Year Special Chosun Pop Again is to air during the upcoming Lunar New Year holidays.
