Sechs Kies will unveil the process of working on the new song through tvN’s Don’t Look Back (literal title).
Sechs Kies and You Hee Yeol’s new song project “Don’t Look Back” will premiere on Jan 22. Don’t Look Back was accomplished as You Hee Yeol kept his pledge he made back in May last year to record a ballad song with Sechs Kies if Antenna Music’s YouTube channel surpasses 150,000 subscribers.
The program’s name “Don’t Look Back” has many meanings. First, it’s the song title of the new song presented by Sechs Kies and You Hee Yeol. But it also connotes the current situation where the two artists have come together to start a new project and broadcast the process just because of something they said lightheartedly during YouTube live streaming.
This new project marks Sechs Kies’s comeback in about a year since they dropped their first mini-album ALL FOR YOU, and the fact that it’s the first time that You Hee Yeol has given a song to a group is drawing keen attention.
Director Shin Hyo Jung, who will helm the project, shared, “This project started from a small pledge You Hee Yeol made to perform in one of the projects in Na Young Seok’s YouTube channel. But things got bigger, and it became an official project of actually releasing a song and broadcasting the process. We are preparing well so that you can see how things got so big through the broadcast. Please give us a lot of attention.”
Don’t Look Back will premiere on Jan 22 at 10:50 pm KST as the follow-up of Things That Make Me Groove. Each episode will air for 5 minutes, but the full version will be released on Na Young Seok’s YouTube channel.
