It seems like season 2 of The Uncanny Counter will come true.

According to Ilgan Sports, OCN’s The Uncanny Counter is checking the main actors’ schedules with the second season in mind.

“Since there was no talk about making it into a seasonal series in the first stage of production, the production team also considered a number of things and checked main actors’ schedules from early on,” said an insider. “They plan to produce season 2 in September 2021 and premiere in the first half of 2022.”

At the press conference, actors and the director expressed their expectations in season 2, saying, “We are all hoping for season 2, so I hope the drama becomes a hit and all of us get together once again.” Yoo Jun Sang jokingly added, “I will keep in shape till season 5.”

Based on the webtoon of the same name, The Uncanny Counter revolves around the demon hunters called Counters who come to earth under the guise of being employees at a noodle restaurant in order to capture evil spirits. It garnered 9.3% viewer ratings (based on Nielsen Korea) in episode 8, the highest number that the network has ever seen. Since there are still 8 more episodes remaining, attention focuses on whether OCN will be able to break the double-digit for the first time.
