ARMY Are Not Warming Up to the Idea of Big Hit Labels “Joint Performance”

It seems like Big Hit Entertainment, which used to emphasize “love for fans,” is not keeping their words.

Recently, Big Hit announced that they will be holding a joint performance “2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE presented by Weverse.” The final lineup includes Lee Hyun, BTS, NU’EST, Kye Bum Zu, GFRIEND, TXT and ENHYPEN. However, netizens are not showing the reactions that Big Hit expected.

First of all, Lee Hyun and Kye Bum Zu’s fans can’t see the performance unless they sign up for Weverse and join other artists’ sites. Contrary to the event being a “Big Hit Labels Concert,” certain singers’ fans have a disadvantage from the get-go.

Also, considering that fans only cheer for “their idols,” not the entire label, it seems like Big Hit Entertainment is the only one getting excited about having a “Big Hit family.” Rather than emphasizing “fellowship” that no one welcomes, maybe it’s time for Big Hit to open their eyes and pay attention to what fans really want.

Finally, netizens showed their anger about the ticket price. According to Big Hit, the offline performance package price is between 154,000 and 275,000 KRW (about 138 and 247 USD). On top of that, the venue they chose to hold the event, KINTEX concert hall, is notorious for its disappointing view.

Here are some of the reactions: “I’ve been ARMY for years now, and I’m getting disappointed by Big Hit every day recently,” “Wow, fans became ATM to Big Hit,” “I’ve never gone to the solo concert at that price but joint performance?” “154,000 for KINTEX? Crazy Big Hit.”
