‘The Penthouse: War in Life’ Sees a Strong Start + ‘Kairos’ Starts Off Soft

Yesterday, two new Monday-Tuesday dramas, The Penthouse: War in Life and Kairos, joined the viewership competition and received favorable reviews.

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of SBS’s The Penthouse: War in Life, which aired on October 26, recorded 6.7%, 9.2%, 9.1% viewer ratings nationwide. The figure is the highest among terrestrial late-night dramas aired on the same day.

The drama received favorable reviews for its intense plot and actors’ passionate performances. And especially, viewers poured out their praises for Kim So Yeon’s impeccable acting as Cheon Seo Jin.

MBC’s Karios premiered with 2.7% and 3.7% viewership. As the drama received positive reviews for its thrilling story and high immersion level since the first episode, there is ample room for a rise in ratings.

Meanwhile, KBS’s Zombie Detective shows 2.1% and 2.2% ratings, while JTBC’s 18 Again recorded 2.573%.
