BLACKPINK’s “Lovesick Girls” Debuts at No.3 on Spotify, 3 Other Tracks Ranked in Top 10

BLACKPINK has achieved remarkable results by putting half of the eight tracks from their first full-length album on Spotify Top 10.

“Lovesick Girls,” the title track of BLACKPINK’s first full-length album THE ALBUM, debuted at No. 3 on Spotify Global Top 50 Chart on Oct. 2, the first day of its release. Also, “Bet You Wanna (Feat. Cardi B)” ranked 4th, “Pretty Savage” came in 8th, and “Ice Cream” ranked 10th.

Other tracks, “Crazy Over You” (17th), “Love To Hate Me” (18th), “How You Like That” (19th), and “You Never Know” (25th), were also spotted within Top 30, showing the group’s formidable potential.

Shortly after the release of the song, THE ALBUM topped iTunes Album Charts in 57 countries and ranked seventh on the U.S. Apple Music Albums Chart and debuted at No. 1 on Pop Album Charts, proving BLACKPINK’s strong presence in the mainstream pop market.

The music video for “Lovesick Girls” is also drawing keen attention. The MV, which is nearing 100 million views, is maintaining its No. 1 ranking as “the most-watched video in 24 hours.” BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel is also on the verge of surpassing 50 million, with an increase of about 800,000 after the release of the full-length album.

Especially, “Lovesick Girls” is receiving explosive popularity in China and Japan. On Oct. 3, the song swept five charts on China’s largest music site QQ Music, including Newest Release, Music Video, and Digital Sales. In Japan, all 8 tracks from the album were spotted on Top 10, while “Lovesick Girls” debuted at No. 1 on iTunes, Line Music, and AWA real-time charts.
