CJ ENM’s Mnet and Galaxy Corporation announced that they will establish a new company, Persona Universe. Persona Universe plans to create an “alternate character worldview” of popular celebrities and fully support their alternate characters.
On Oct. 2, CJ ENM’s Mnet and Galaxy Corporation announced that they will jointly invest and establish a special purpose company called Persona Universe. The purpose of establishing this company is to support second management activities by creating the world’s first “alternate character worldview.”
Based on the know-how they have built at home and abroad, the two sides have joined hands under a common goal of conducting comprehensive management, including finding, nurturing, planning albums, and production of alternate characters of many celebs, just like Mommy Son (Mad Clown), Yoo San Seul (Yoo Jae Suk), and SSAK3 (Lee Hyori, Rain, Yoo Jae Suk). CJ ENM’s Mnet channel supports the discovery and activities of alternate characters, while Galaxy Corporation is in charge of planning, marketing, and management systems for these characters.
Alternate Characters Contest (literal title) will be pre-released in October as an official YouTube channel of Persona Universe in the form of transmedia through YouTube and cable CJ ENM’s Mnet channel, and will be organized on CJ ENM’s Mnet channel in November. It will be produced as a seasonal show.
