YG Entertainment will relocate to its new headquarters.

On Sept. 23, YG Entertainment confirmed to media outlets, “YG Entertainment’s new headquarters has finally been completed after 8 years, and employees and staff began relocating from Sept. 16.”

YG’s new building, located in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, is located right next to its former office building and is built on 3,145 square meters of land with five underground level floors and nine ground level floors. It is 10 times larger than the existing headquarters.

For this new and bigger headquarters, YG has been purchasing land around the building sequentially for four years since 2012, and it started construction in 2016. The previous headquarters used over the past 10 years is connected with the new building through a ground bridge.

The building houses 7 large-scale dance practice rooms, 7 large-scale recording studios, and 30 private music studios open to all agency artists and producers. The famous cafeteria has transformed into a restaurant zone that takes up the entire second floor. There are also facilities for fans. The small new building located just across from the new headquarters will be rented entirely to create rest areas and exhibition and convenience facilities for fans by the end of the year.

An official from YG emphasized, “We will contribute to enhancing the position of K-pop in the global market by fostering new artists at our new headquarters that is fully equipped with cutting-edge facilities.”
