Koo Hye Sun will participate in the 22nd Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF2020), an international film festival officially designated by the Academy, as a judge in the feature competition section.
Starting with the 2008 short film The Madonna, Koo Hye Sun has been actively working as a director and a screenwriter. She has consistently built her own world, producing three feature films and five short films.
She also worked as a writer through various works, including illustrated fiction “Peach Tree,” and recently published an essay titled “I Am Your Pet.” Koo Hye Sun also held an exhibition titled “Voyage �” Again and Again” as a painter in May and is currently working on her new piano album Breathe 3, scheduled to be released on October 2.
In particular, Koo Hye Sun has always worked with Seo Hyun Jin, who became Koo Hye Sun’s persona, in short films, and has cast Parasite actor Jung Ji So in her feature film Daughter, in which she collaborated with Parasite writer Han Ji Won. Since Koo Hye Sun showed excellent discerning eyes several times, expectations are high for her choice in the BIAF2020 screening.
The selections for the BIAF2020 will be announced at the press conference later this month. The BIAF2020 will be held from October 23 to October 27.
