As former AOA member Mina pointed Seolhyun as a bystander of Jimin’s bullying, netizens are demanding Seolhyun’s leave from the drama Awaken.

On August 10, a post demanding Seolhyun to drop out of her new drama Awaken was posted on online communities.

Before all the controversies over AOA, Seolhyun confirmed her appearance in upcoming tvN drama Awaken, which follows the connections between a mystery unfolding in the present and the secrets behind an enigmatic incident that took place in a village 26 years ago. In it, Seolhyun plays Gong Hye Won, a lieutenant at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Some started to point out the hypocrisy in a bystander playing the role of a police officer. They voiced their anger, saying, “I wish Seolhyun would drop out of the drama,” “I don’t think I will be able to watch Seolhyun playing a cop,” or “This is going to be ridiculous. How’s going to believe that?”

However, officials say that the chances of Seolhyun to drop out of the drama are slim as Awaken is a pre-produced drama that has already been filmed in large part. They added, “Unless Seolhyun personally asks to leave, she will appear as scheduled.”

Meanwhile, Awaken, starring Nam Goong Min, Lee Chung Ah, Lee Shin Young, and Yoon Sun Woo, is scheduled to air in the second half of this year.
