JYP Entertainment and SM Entertainment are leading the growth of online concerts.
JYP and SM will jointly establish the first-ever company dedicated to online concerts called “Beyond LIVE Corporation.”
JYP revealed this partnership on July 4th, “The two representative K-pop labels will work together to lead the growth of online concerts.”
“Beyond LIVE Corporation” is a company that will plan and operate “Beyond LIVE.” It will combine SM’s abilities in content creation, Naver’s skills and technology, and JYP’s global network and unparalleled creativity. “Beyond LIVE” is set to become a global online concert brand.
“Beyond LIVE” first began in April as a paid online concert platform. It utilizes cutting-edge technology such as Augmented Reality and interactive communication between fans through multiple screens to create a new culture technology and open the door to a new future of online concerts.
On August 9th, global girl group TWICE will hold their first online concert “Beyond LIVE – TWICE : World in A Day.” As hitmaker and global producer Park Jin Young (J.Y. Park) participated in this concert, an even more heated response for this performance is expected.
Through the “World Tour in One Day” concept, TWICE will interact and bond with their fans around the world through an online platform. The concert will be held on August 9th at 3 PM KST through Naver V LIVE.
