Park Kyung has been indicted without detention on charges of defamation.
On June 17, The Seongdong Police Station in Seoul said, “Park Hyung will be sent to the prosecution without detention on charges of defamation for spreading false information according to the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.
Previously, Park Kyung raised the suspicion of sajaegi (chart manipulation) in November last year. He wrote in a now-deleted tweet, “I want to do sajaegi like Vibe, like Song Ha Ye, like Lim Jae Hyun, like Jeon Sang Keun, like Jang Deok Cheol, and like Hwang In Wook ^^;;.”
However, all singers who were mentioned in the post refuted the claim, saying that such accusation is groundless. At the same time, some of them sued Park Kyung for defamation and other charges of spreading false information.
Park Kyung voluntarily appeared at Seongdong Police Station in March for his first questioning. His agency, Seven Seasons, said, “Park Kyung will faithfully respond to requests for further cooperation in the investigation.”
