The first episode of Fix You, which will give a pleasant laugh and healing to the small screen, will air today (May 6).
KBS2’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama Fix You tells the story of psychiatrists who believe in “healing” rather than “treating” the heartbroken people. It is different from existing medical dramas in that it deals with “treating mental illness,” which became a hot social topic in modern society.
Writer Lee Hyang Hee, who wrote Money’s Warfare and My Lawyer, Mr. Jo, and director Yoo Hyun Ki, most known for Brian, Seo Yeong, My Daughter, and Master of Study, have come together for the work. Also, the fact that Shin Ha Kyun took the role of a doctor nine years after Brain, drew attention. Jung So Min, Park Ye Jin and Tae In Ho have joined the cast.
Shin Ha Kyun – Lee Shi Joon (psychiatrist)
He is an unrivaled celebrity in the department of mental health who runs the podcast “Soul Repairer.” He often bumps and conflicts with people around him with his faith in his own treatment method, but the patients prove that he was, in fact, always correct.
Jung So Min – Han Woo Joo (musical actor)
She is called the “woman of water and fire” because she has such emotional ups and downs. She almost became a rising star in the musical world, finally being able to see the light of day as a leading role, but now she helps mentally ill patients through plays.
Tae In Ho – In Dong Hyuk (psychiatrist)
Lee Shi Joon’s best friend and a rival. Unlike Shi Joon, who views mental illness as a “broken heart,” he considers it a “brain disease.” Therefore, the two often argue over what treatments should take place.
Park Ye Jin – Ji Young Won (psychiatrist with her own doctor’s office)
She became a friend of Lee Shi Joon and In Dong Hyuk after spending intern and resident days together. After becoming a specialist, she opened her private office and became a celebrity among psychoanalysts with her exceptional communication and analysis skills.
Will Fix You be able to comfort people who are having hard times in the midst of coronavirus pandemic with its warm and humane charms? Attention is being focused.
