HBO has just dropped an exciting behind-the-scenes featurette for The Idol, giving us a sneak peek into this highly-anticipated series and what the talented cast and crew bring to the table.
With Euphoria creator Sam Levinson’s involvement with the series, the new series about a troubled pop star has been generating a massive buzz. In the featurette, Levinson proudly shares, “I was calling up artists I’ve always admired but hadn’t worked with. Jennie, Troye, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Dan Levy, Jane Adams, Da’Vine Joy Randolph.”
The video showcases interviews with the cast and crew, capturing their excitement to be part of this series. Da’Vine Joy Randolph enthusiastically describes it as “an awesome process of real true collaboration.” Lily-Rose Depp shares, “The technical training for the World Class Center dance was so much fun.”
And of course, the clip shares a sneak peek of BLACKPINK’s beloved Jennie, who brings the character Anys to life in the show. She reveals, “I didn’t have a lot of time to learn the choreography for the dance scenes. But thankfully, I do this all the time, so it came naturally to me.”
In the next scene, Levinson takes a moment to express his admiration for the exceptional talent of the ensemble and the remarkable bond they have developed as performers.
