Moving Season 2 is officially underway.

Disney+ confirmed on May 18th that filming has begun on the highly anticipated second season of the hit Korean superhero drama.

Moving Season 2 follows the superpowered characters as they attempt to return to normal life after the events of the “Jeongwon High School incident,” only to face a new crisis that forces them back into battle to protect the people they love.

Writer Kangfull, who previously penned both Moving and Light Shop, is once again handling the script. Directing duties this time go to Kim Sung Hoon, best known for Kingdom as well as films including Ransomed and Tunnel.

Much of the original cast is returning, including Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, Zo In Sung, Cha Tae Hyun, Ryoo Seung Bum, Go Youn Jung, Kim Do Hoon, Kim Sung Kyun, Kim Hee Won, and more.

New additions include Won Gyu Bin, Sul Kyung Gu, Lee Hee Joon, Ryu Hye Young, Roh Yoon Seo, Kim Sung Kyu, Kim Gun Woo and Choi Yoon Ji.

One major casting change has also drawn attention: the role of Kim Bong Seok, previously played by Lee Jung Ha in Season 1, will now be taken over by newcomer Won Gyu Bin, who made his debut last year in BITCH X RICH 2.

Disney’s APAC original content head Carol Choi said the success of Moving proved “how powerfully Korean storytelling can resonate globally when paired with emotional depth and larger-scale world-building.”

Director Kim Sung Hoon also shared his excitement, saying, “Season 2 exists because audiences loved the incredible work done by the Season 1 team. We’ll try many new things this time.” Writer Kangfull added, “I’m grateful to all the actors and staff who are joining us again. I hope we can create an even better project this time around.”

When it first premiered, Moving became the most-watched Korean original series on Hulu in the U.S. during its debut week and also ranked as Disney+ APAC’s most-watched series upon release. The series went on to earn major recognition at multiple awards shows, including the Critics Choice Awards, Baeksang Arts Awards and Blue Dragon Series Awards.
