Lee Jung Ha, the breakout star of the global hit series Moving, will soon be bidding a temporary farewell to his fans as he fulfills his mandatory military service.
MyDaily reported on November 24th that Lee recently applied to the Republic of Korea Marine Corps and is scheduled to enlist on January 26th, 2026.
The actor reportedly expressed a strong personal desire to serve in the Marines, known for their rigorous training. His service will last 18 months, with his expected discharge date set for July 25th, 2027.
Lee Jung Ha made his debut in the 2017 web drama Heart Attack Warning (literal translation) and gradually built his career with supporting roles in Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung, Run On, and Nevertheless.
However, it was his role as the lovable, flying superhuman Kim Bong Seok in Disney Plus’s 2023 hit Moving that skyrocketed him to fame. His performance earned him Best New Actor honors at both the Blue Dragon Series Awards and the Baeksang Arts Awards.
Unfortunately, for fans of the franchise, his enlistment means he will not be able to participate in the production of Moving Season 2, which is slated to begin next year.
Currently, Lee is starring in the ENA drama Heroes Next Door.
