With the new cast members on the show, the third season of Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) is off to a shaky start.
Leaving us immensely intrigued with its shocking ending for the second season, the production immediately announced that the show is officially coming back for a third season. However, a bumpy road awaited the production as the original cast members – Sung Hoon, Lee Tae Gon, and Kim Bo Yeon – decided not to hop on the third season. Kang Shin Hyo replaced Sung Hoon as Pan Sa Hyun, Ji Young San replaced Lee Tae Gon as Shin Yoo Shin, and Lee Hye Sook replaced Kim Bo Yeon as Kim Dong Mi. The change in cast members, however, added only awkwardness to the show.
Kang Shin Hyo, who replaced Sung Hoon, smoothly blended in with the show. However, he seemed too old for the role of Song Won. The styling of Lee Hye Sook, who plays Kim Dong Mi, also left many in question. The actress wore a long wig to play Kim Dong Mi, but it was too obvious that she was wearing fake hair. Meanwhile, Ji Young San, who plays Shin You Shin, broke the flow of the show with his unnatural acting, as he had a nearly 10-year hiatus. He did not show much chemistry with other characters including Sa Pi Young (Park Joo Mi), A Mi (So Ji In), and Kim Dong Mi.
Nevertheless, fans are expected to continue watching the show as it will illustrate the process that led to the shocking ending of the second season.
