Lee Soo Hyuk is in talks to star in the new webtoon-adapted fantasy series Tomorrow (literal title).
On the 14th, YG Entertainment confirmed that Lee Soo Hyuk is positively reviewing his appearance in the new MBC series Tomorrow.
Tomorrow is a drama adaptation from the webtoon of the same name. The project revolves around Choi Joon Woong, a struggling job-seeker who gets into an unfortunate accident and meets grim reapers on a special mission. He joins their underworld team as the youngest member and helps save the lives of those in crisis.
In particular, the ingenious plot of grim reapers, who were symbols of death, helping people continue their lives will deliver warm comforts. Previously, Kim Hee Sun was officially cast to star as grim reaper Goo Ryeon. In addition, the role of Choi Joon Woong was offered to SF9’s Rowoon.
According to the agency, Lee Soo Hyuk is reviewing his transformation into Choi Joong Gil, the leader of the underworld team who guides the spirits. Choi Joong Gil is described as someone with a poker face and cold images. For sure, the role will harmonize well with the actor’s unique vibe.
Meanwhile, Tomorrow will air on MBC in the first half of 2021 as a 16-part series.
