Expectations are high for the meeting of Shin Ha Kyun and Yeo Jin Goo.
JTBC’s new drama Monster (literal translation), one of the most anticipated films in the first half of 2021, confirmed Shin Ha Kyun and Yeo Jin Goo’s casting.
Monster tells the story of two men who break laws and principled to catch a serial killer. Constantly asking the question, “Who is the monster? You? Or Me?,” it closely follows the multifaceted nature of human beings hidden behind the incident. Moment at Eighteen director Shim Na Yeon and Mad Dog writer Kim Soo Jin have joined hands for the project.
Shin Ha Kyun will play Lee Dong Shik, a sergeant at Manyang Police Station, who is at the peak of his “crazy gauge.” He used to be a homicide detective, but is now in charge of chores at a small police station on the outskirts. In front of him, who has been living a “peaceful life,” detective Han Joo Won (Yeo Jin Goo) appears as his partner and boss. On top of that, the “monster,” who completely changed his life 20 years ago, resurfaces when a murder is committed in the same way as the serial murder that shook the nation, and the quiet village starts to turn upside down.
Yeo Jin Goo will take on the role of elite detective Han Joo Won, who came down to the Manyang police station with a secret. He is a man with everything: good looks, abilities, and a father who is likely to be the next police chief. However, an unexpected incident throws Han Joo Won’s life into a whirlpool.
Viewers are already looking forward to the bizarre partnership of the two, where one is “crazier than the monster” and the other persistently tracks down the truth.
New drama Monster will premiere in the first half of 2021.
