Lee Jong Suk shared some amusing details about living with his parents, including how he hides desserts from his younger sibling.

Lee appeared as a guest to promote his upcoming Disney Plus series The Remarried Empress on the November 3rd episode of TEO’s YouTube talk show Salon Drip.

Host Jang Do Yeon brought up Lee’s childhood photos, joking that he looked like a baby who was easy to take care of. Lee recalled that he was very attached to his mother as a child.

“I still have a flat head at the back. My mom said I was such an easy baby that I would just lie still when she put me down. But apparently, I would cry as if the world were ending whenever I was away from her,” he said.

Lee also revealed that he still lives with his parents. He recalled how his father once tried taking him to his grandmother’s house after his mother gave birth to their third child and went to her parents’ home to recover. However, Lee cried so much during the drive that his father had to turn the car around on the highway and take him back.

“He said I used to act like I couldn’t live without my mom, but I’ve grown out of that. Though I still live with my parents,” Lee joked.

When Jang asked what he liked about living with his parents, Lee said, “It feels nice to have the warmth of family at home.”

However, he admitted that sharing a home also came with a few challenges. His younger sibling, who loves desserts, sometimes eats the treats Lee has saved for himself.

“My youngest sibling really loves desserts. Even when I bring something home for myself, they’ll eat it if I don’t get to it quickly,” he said. “I hide them behind the side-dish containers.”

Lee added that he does not particularly love desserts but feels compelled to have something sweet after every meal, making the situation even more amusing.

The conversation also turned to his fitness routine. Jang joked that Lee must be good at sticking to his diet because he always looks camera-ready. However, Lee revealed that his recent body composition test showed a higher-than-expected body fat percentage.

“I’m completely off-season right now, and I don’t know what to do,” he said. “Fans don’t seem to like it when I work out and build muscle. They say I look better slim.”

Lee also revealed that he wants to have a rugged, masculine look like actor Tom Hardy. “I’ve always wanted to have that macho image. I wish I could grow a beard, too, but it just won’t grow. There’s not even a sign of it,” he joked.

He shared that he enjoys picking out gifts for friends and acquaintances, often browsing design fairs for interesting items to buy and give later. He recommended practical gifts such as table lamps and mirror-cleaning wipes.

Lee also revealed that he became an uncle this year and has been shopping for baby products, including clothes, bibs and car seats. He noted that parents have different preferences when it comes to baby products, especially strollers, depending on how smoothly they handle.

“Once you buy something, there’s always someone who needs it,” he said.
