Sports World reported that Jung Eun Woo passed away on February 11th.
His wake is being held in Room Special 2 at the New Goryeo Hospital Funeral Hall, and the funeral procession will take place on the 13th at 12 PM. He will be laid to rest at the Crematorium in Byeokje.
His last post on Instagram said, “Longing, envy, regret. PIR.BG.” Along with the post, he shared photos of the late Leslie Cheung and the late Amy Winehouse, both of whom had ended their own lives.

Jung Eun Woo debuted in the 2006 KBS drama Sharp Season 3 and became well-known for his leading role in the 2011 SBS drama Bride of the Sun. In 2012, he gained significant attention with roles in SBS dramas Five Fingers and One Well-Raised Daughter, earning the New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards. The following year, he received a Special Acting Award at the SBS Drama Awards for a one-act drama.
He later starred in the 2015 SBS daily drama The Return of Hwang Geum Bok and the KBS2 weekend drama My Only One. His final work was the 2021 film Memory: Manipulated Murder.
In a 2015 interview with BNT News, Jung Eun Woo shared his passion for acting. He said, “I’ve played minor, supporting, and leading roles, but if I had become very popular at a young age, I don’t think I’d be able to do what I’m doing now. I’d be materially wealthy, but I wouldn’t be happy.” He added, “I want to be an actor who is remembered fondly,” which makes his passing even more heartbreaking.
