The woman who accused Lee Yi Kyung of sending inappropriate messages has broken her silence to give an update on the ongoing police investigation.
On February 9th, she posted on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that she had stayed quiet while cooperating with Korean police. Living overseas, she said it was difficult to navigate Korea’s legal system from afar, but decided to fully cooperate to prove her claims.
She confirmed that she submitted all relevant evidence and personal information to the authorities and has been communicating with the assigned investigator remotely. “The investigation has been ongoing for over a month and is taking time,” she wrote.
She shared screenshots of emails with a Gangnam Police Station detective, dated from December 31stto February 4th. In the emails, she said she is willing to cooperate sincerely and is available for video calls.
She also expressed confidence in the investigation, saying that the identity of the person involved will be revealed and that related communication records confirm her claims.
The controversy began when she shared screenshots of messages allegedly showing inappropriate language and sexual advances from the man she claims was Lee Yi Kyung.
Lee Yi Kyung’s agency has strongly denied the allegations, calling them “baseless,” and has filed a legal complaint for defamation and threats, stating that the accuser’s statement was completed at Gangnam Police Station and they will pursue legal action against the spread of false information.
