Min Hee Jin is officially moving on.
Amid her ongoing legal battle with NewJeans’ former agency, Min Hee Jin has unveiled her new independent label, ooak records. On Tuesday, Min Hee Jin posted “20260205 10AM Coming soon” on social media, sharing links to ooak records’ official accounts and website.
The image features a sky-blue silk outfit intricately embroidered with birds and flowers, alongside the phrase “ooak records 2026.” The visuals immediately signaled Min Hee Jin’s signature, concept-driven style. The label name “ooak” is said to carry layered meanings, including “One Of A Kind” and “Only One Always Known.”

This marks Min Hee Jin’s first official move about 15 months after leaving ADOR in November 2024. ooak Records was reportedly founded in October, with preparations taking place quietly, including a closed audition held in December.
Min Hee Jin has previously teased plans for a new boy group, putting added spotlight on the full reveal scheduled for the 5th.

Meanwhile, legal tensions remain high. ADOR has filed lawsuits seeking penalties and damages totaling 43.1 billion won (approx. 30 million USD), naming Min Hee Jin as well as NewJeans member Danielle and one family member. Min Hee Jin’s side has denied allegations of tampering, pushing back with claims tied to alleged stock manipulation involving outside parties.
Once dubbed “NewJeans’ mom” for her close relationship with the group, she is now effectively separated from them. After a court upheld ADOR’s exclusive contracts, Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni confirmed their return, Minji remains in talks, and Danielle has been notified of contract termination.
With ooak Records officially stepping into the spotlight, attention now turns to what Min Hee Jin plans to build next—and who will be part of it.
