Go Min Si is strongly pushing back against fresh school bullying accusations that surfaced online this week.
On May 26th, Go Min Si’s agency, Mystic Story, released an official statement firmly denying the allegations circulating online. “These accusations are entirely untrue and based on false information,” the company said.
The controversy began earlier that day, when a post titled “We are the victims of actor Go **’s school violence” began to gain traction on various online communities. The anonymous poster made serious claims, alleging that Go Min Si “bullied multiple classmates since middle school, extorted money, used abusive language, and mocked and threatened students with disabilities.”
The accusations didn’t stop there—the poster also claimed she “organized violence with delinquent groups both inside and outside school” and “habitually stole belongings and money from classmates, then bragged and mocked others about it, showing serious ethical flaws.”
Though the post didn’t name Go Min Si directly, it included specific details like her pre-debut name, old photos, and references to a past apology for underage drinking, which was enough for people to connect the dots.
Mystic Story isn’t taking this lying down. “We deeply regret that our artist’s reputation is being damaged by malicious posts based on false information,” they stated. They’ve already hired legal representation and are moving forward with both civil and criminal proceedings.
The statement continued, “We urge the public to refrain from spreading unfounded rumors or speculative reports, which can cause irreversible harm not only to the artist but also to her family.”
Go Min Si was previously embroiled in controversy back in 2020, when photos of her allegedly drinking as a minor surfaced online. At the time, she publicly apologized on social media, writing, “I fully recognize that my past actions were wrong, and I take full responsibility for my behavior.”
