G-Dragon was spotted liking and then unliking a poll asking netizens whether actor Kim Soo Hyun should be removed from the variety show Good Day.
On February 12th, a Taiwanese social media account covering Korean entertainment ran a poll about Kim Soo Hyun’s appearance on Good Day.
According to reports on March 13th, Kim Soo Hyun pushed ahead with filming for MBC’s Good Day. Yesterday, it was reported that he would sit out the filming, but later updates revealed he showed up on set despite intense public pressure. The production team stated, “The filming was completed with a reduced schedule.”

The Taiwanese account claimed, “The filming for the show wrapped up on February 27th, and further discussions are needed regarding possible edits. Since Kim Soo Hyun’s departure is confirmed, the show may face significant changes.”
The account also speculated, “It might become impossible for Kim Soo Hyun to continue filming in the future, and the iconic ‘88-line’ duo could vanish from history. What do you think?”
The poll offered four options: “G-Dragon was affected the most,” “Support Kim Soo Hyun’s removal,” “Support Kim Soo Hyun’s retirement,” and “Will wait for Kim Soo Hyun.”
After G-Dragon liked the post, fans went into a frenzy, speculating that he was finally cutting ties with Kim Soo Hyun amid the raging controversy. But he quietly unliked the post as the rumors snowballed.
Meanwhile, after news broke that Kim Soo Hyun went ahead with filming, the backlash against Good Day’s chief producer exploded on the program’s viewer board. Furious fans unleashed savage comments like, “Do you think viewers are brainless fools you can dupe? I’m boycotting Kim Tae Ho’s shows forever,” “Have Kim Tae Ho and MBC lost their damn minds?” and “Can’t you at least fake a shred of morality when making your stupid broadcasts?”

On the same day Kim Soo Hyun confirmed his participation in Good Day’s filming, Ten Asia reported that a close associate said, “Neither Kim Soo Hyun nor his agency ever told the production team he wouldn’t participate, nor were they asked to remove him. As far as we know, Good Day has been waiting for him in good faith. He’s simply honoring a long-scheduled commitment.” The associate added, “Aside from Good Day, the filming for Disney Plus’s Knock-Off is proceeding as planned.”
The associate also revealed, “Kim Soo Hyun is going through an extremely tough time. He’s so mentally overwhelmed that staff members are constantly by his side. He’s been personally apologizing to his colleagues and crew one by one.”
Kim Soo Hyun reportedly visited the cast and director to apologize during the filming of Knock-Off on March 12th.
