Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines successfully concluded its buzzy press conference on Wednesday. Director Kim Won Seok, IU, Park Bo Gum, Moon So Ri, and Park Hae Jun attended the event, sharing various stories about the production.
IU shared her thoughts on working with Park Bo Gum: “We’ve known each other since our teens, but this is our first time working together on a project. From the first shoot, I didn’t feel nervous at all and felt comfortable, just like Ae Soon and Gwan Sik. He’s a great partner with whom I could comfortably share ideas.” Park Bo Gum reciprocated the praise for IU, saying, “Thanks to IU who expressed Ae-soon’s colorful, roller-coaster emotions so skillfully and charmingly, I was able to immerse myself in Gwan Sik.”
Park Bo Gum wrapped up the press conference with heartfelt words. “As we go through life, there are times when we cry and then laugh, and times when we laugh and then cry,” he shared. “I hope ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ brings warm spring to your hearts so you don’t freeze up during such times.”
IU added, “The English title is ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines,’ and no matter how bitter the tangerines life gives you, this is a work that offers warm tangerine tea. I hope while drinking the tangerine tea we’re serving, you’ll have time to calmly reflect on life.”
When Life Gives You Tangerines will be released exclusively on Netflix on Friday, March 7th.
