Park Yoo Hwan is giving fans a glimpse into his personal life—revealing for the first time that he has a daughter.
On April 9th, the actor shared a series of photos on Instagram, writing, “It’s been a happy seven years thanks to you all,” along with, “Ria picking at Dad’s belly button while he sleeps.” The post featured candid moments of him spending time with a toddler.
The use of the word “Dad” quickly caught fans’ attention, especially since Park Yoo Hwan has never publicly announced a marriage.
Adding to the moment, his older brother Park Yoo Chun commented, “Love you, Ria,” further confirming the child’s identity.
According to a report on April 10th, the child is Park Yoo Hwan’s daughter, born on March 3rd, 2024. He also reportedly confirmed during a livestream, saying, “She is my daughter.”
Park Yoo Hwan previously debuted in the 2011 drama Twinkle Twinkle and has appeared in series like I Need Romance 3 and She Was Pretty.
As news of his family life spreads, past controversies have also resurfaced. In 2021, he was investigated for marijuana use in Bangkok, and in 2016, he was involved in a civil lawsuit filed by a former girlfriend who sought compensation for emotional and financial damages, claiming he had unilaterally ended their common-law relationship.
The case drew added shock at the time, as it came amid his brother Park Yoo Chun being repeatedly accused in sexual misconduct cases and referred to prosecutors.
Now, with his new role as a father coming to light, fans are seeing a different side of Park Yoo Hwan.
