A safety accident at Super Junior’s concert has sparked concern, while the group’s response is drawing praise.
During the encore concert for Super Junior’s 20th anniversary world tour, “SUPER SHOW 10 SJ – CORE in SEOUL,” a safety fence collapsed at Seoul’s KSPO DOME on April 5th, causing several audience members to fall.
The incident occurred toward the end of the show as the members approached the crowd to greet fans during the final encore stage. As fans surged toward the barricade, the structure gave way, leading to three people falling to the floor below.
Following the accident, the injured fans were immediately transported to the hospital, where they were diagnosed with sprains and bruises and advised to rest and receive treatment for approximately two weeks.
Footage of the moment quickly circulated across online communities, with many netizens sharing reactions along the lines of, “It was actually the artist who brought over security after the accident,” and “A fan who went to the hospital posted that the artist seen in the video waited in the lobby with staff until all the tests were done.” Others also noted, “That area usually has signs telling people not to lean on the fence.”
SM Entertainment issued an official apology, stating, “As the concert organizer, we take full responsibility for this incident.” The agency added, “We sincerely apologize to the injured audience members and their families and will provide full support for their recovery.” They also pledged to strengthen safety inspections and crowd management to prevent similar accidents in the future.

The concert marked the finale of Super Junior’s world tour across 17 cities in Asia and South America, featuring a large-scale 360-degree stage and a setlist packed with the group’s biggest hits. However, the accident in the final moments has cast a shadow over what was meant to be a celebratory milestone.
