Director Hong Sang Soo and Kim Min Hee were recently spotted spending time together with their son in Misusup Park in Hanam City. They appeared relaxed and happy, enjoying a stroll without worrying about onlookers.
Kim Min Hee, dressed casually in a beige oversized jacket, white pants, and a black cap, was seen lovingly caring for their son. Director Hong, matching her in a dark gray jacket and navy pants, walked behind her, pushing the stroller. Eyewitnesses noted that the family seemed especially affectionate, and the child appeared to have grown a lot.
Hong Sang Soo and Kim Min Hee publicly confirmed their relationship in 2017 during a press conference for their movie On the Beach at Night Alone. They have been together for about 10 years. On the Beach at Night Alone is often seen as a semi-autobiographical film, with Kim Min Hee winning the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin Film Festival for her role.
Although still legally married to his wife after losing a divorce lawsuit in 2019, Hong Sang Soo and Kim Min Hee’s relationship has attracted attention as an extramarital affair. They welcomed their son in April last year and have been living in Korea.
Hong Sang Soo continues to work actively in filmmaking despite the public scrutiny of his personal life. His latest film, The Day She Returns, was invited to the Berlin International Film Festival, and actress Song Sun Mi shared behind-the-scenes photos of the film. Kim Min Hee also participated in the project as a production manager.
