Fans may have been disappointed to learn that Kim Min Gee and Song Seung Il didn’t stay together after Single’s Inferno 5, but the former couple appears to still be on friendly terms.
In the season finale of the Netflix dating series, Kim Min Gee and Song Seung Il left the island as a couple. However, viewers later learned their relationship didn’t last beyond the show.
The update came during the Single’s Inferno 5 reunion episode released by Netflix on February 14th, Valentine’s Day, where the pair confirmed their off-screen romance had ended.
Song Seung Il, who previously faced criticism online over claims that he had “ghosted” Kim Min Gee after filming, recently addressed the situation while appearing on Super Junior member Kyuhyun’s YouTube channel, offering his side of the story.
“Min Gee was very honest with me and did her best. I shared my confusing situation openly with her, but I think from her perspective it may have felt more like a cut-off rather than closure,” he explained. “After the show, I reached out to her and apologized for my immature behavior.”

Despite the breakup, the two appear to have remained on good terms. Kim Min Gee and Song Seung Il recently shared photobooth pictures together on social media, sparking interest among fans.
They were also spotted together in public, seemingly filming something.
From the footage circulating online, it’s unclear what the pair were working on or what event Kim Min Gee was reportedly filming for, but the unexpected reunion has quickly caught the attention of fans of the show.
