Netflix’s hit dating reality series Single’s Inferno Season 5 is officially its biggest season yet, with record-breaking numbers to prove it.
The latest installment has once again captured global audiences, delivering its most successful performance in the franchise’s history. With heightened tension, bolder flirting, and emotionally charged twists, Season 5 has turned up the heat and kept viewers fully locked in.
According to Netflix’s Top 10 website, Single’s Inferno 5 recorded 4,600,000 views and 23,600,000 hours watched between January 19th and January 25th, landing it firmly on the Global Top 10 chart. The show also climbed to No. 2 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV list, marking the highest ranking the show has ever achieved.
The momentum didn’t stop there. Season 5 entered the Top 10 lists in 32 countries, including South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Japan, and Singapore, cementing its status as one of Netflix’s most-watched reality shows worldwide.

Episodes 5 through 7, released on Tuesday, pushed the tension even further. As panelist Kyuhyun put it, “Everyone is confused,” following an explosive truth game that left relationships shaken. Just when the island seemed ready to settle, the unexpected arrival of not one but two new contestants sent shockwaves through Inferno, raising the stakes even higher.
The rivalry between Kim Min Ji and Mina Sue Choi quickly escalated into what fans dubbed a full-scale “queen showdown,” while Shin Hyun Woo, Woo Sung Min, and Jo I Geon’s relentless pursuit of Kim Go Eun completely reshaped the show’s romantic dynamics. With alliances constantly shifting, even Dex admitted defeat, declaring, “I give up,” in the face of the contestants’ unpredictable choices.
Online reaction has been immediate and enthusiastic. Fans flooded social media and forums with comments like “My dopamine is back,” “The panel feels like characters straight out of ‘Inside Out,'” and “This is the textbook example of a younger guy done right.”
Episodes 8 through 10 premiere exclusively on Netflix on February 3rd.
