Lee Min Jung surprised fans by introducing a familiar face with a unique connection to her family: actor and director Sean Richard Dulake, who turns out to be Lee Byung Hun’s cousin.
On the 20th, Lee Min Jung shared a new video on her YouTube channel, opening by saying, “The English teacher we’re inviting today is actually family.” She then explained, “He’s my husband’s aunt’s son, so technically a cousin.”
Dulake introduced himself with a laugh, saying, “I’m Byung Hun’s cousin, Sean Richard. Nice to meet you.”
During the video, Dulake shared behind-the-scenes stories about helping Lee Byung Hun with English for major international appearances. “I helped him a lot when he was preparing acceptance speeches,” he said, adding that the most challenging moment was Lee’s Stanford University talk. “He had to give it like a lecture, with American students sitting there like a real classroom.”
Dulake also recalled Lee’s first Hollywood film G.I. Joe, nearly 17 years ago. “He practiced his lines endlessly. Because it was an action film, he wanted every line to land with impact. When the delivery was quiet, he actually made it hit even harder.”
Talking about his own journey, Dulake said, “I came to Korea at 23 and only knew how to say ‘hello.’ I think I learned Korean mostly through drinking and friends.”
He also joked about recent Alpha Generation slang, mentioning the viral term “six seven.” “You wave your hand and say ‘six seven,’ but I honestly have no idea what it means. It’s a meme even I don’t understand,” he said, drawing laughs.
Dulake wrapped up by clarifying that teaching English is not his main profession. “I’m primarily an actor and producer,” he said, closing out the episode.
