Shin Mina is eyeing a romance drama for her next project—her first since getting married—and Lee Jin Wook is officially on board.

On January 9th, Shin Mina’s agency confirmed that she is “positively reviewing” an offer to star in the upcoming drama Wed–Thu–Fri (working title). Lee Jin Wook, meanwhile, has finalized his decision to appear in the series after reviewing the script.

Wed–Thu–Fri is a romance set around a restaurant that only opens three days a week—Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The story follows a male chef and a woman deeply connected to the restaurant.

The drama brings together a high-profile creative team. Direction will be handled by Jung Dong Yoon, known for hits like Suspicious Partner, Hot Stove League, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, and Netflix’s Gyeongseong Creature. The script is penned by Joo Hyun, the writer behind JTBC’s The World of the Married. Production is led by Kakao Entertainment subsidiary GLAAD, with broadcast scheduling still under discussion.

The project has drawn particular attention as it could mark Shin Mina’s first drama choice following her December wedding to longtime partner Kim Woo Bin, whom she dated for a decade. She is also set to appear in the upcoming Disney+ series The Remarried Empress.

Lee Jin Wook, meanwhile, has a packed slate this year, including the Netflix film Taigo (working title) and the upcoming theatrical release Seven O′Clock Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted. Wed–Thu–Fri would add a romance turn alongside Shin Mina—raising anticipation for the pair’s on-screen chemistry.
