BTS is gearing up for their next era.

On March 4th, the group revealed the tracklist for their upcoming fifth full-length album ARIRANG. The teaser features the album’s logo alongside bold red tape graphics, offering the first glimpse at the project’s concept.

The album includes 14 tracks in total, led by the title song “SWIM.” Other songs on the record include “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” “Aliens,” “FYA,” “2.0,” “No. 29,” “Merry Go Round,” “NORMAL,” “Like Animals,” “they don’t know ’bout us,” “One More Night,” “Please,” and “Into the Sun.”

The project is said to reflect both BTS’ identity and the emotions built throughout their journey as a group.

The title track “SWIM” is an upbeat alternative pop song that captures the idea of continuing to move forward through the waves of life. Rather than fighting against the tide, the lyrics express a determination to move at one’s own pace and embrace life with resilience and love. RM participated extensively in writing the lyrics, adding personal depth to the song’s message.

The album’s opening track, “Body to Body,” is described as a song meant to be enjoyed together with fans in a concert setting. “Hooligan” reflects the group’s experiences traveling the world and forging their own path, while “Aliens” expresses bold ambition. “FYA” captures the excitement of their comeback.

Another track, “2.0,” highlights the current chapter of the seven members as they enter a new phase of their career. Songs like “Merry Go Round” explore enduring life’s repeating cycles, while “NORMAL” focuses on the emotions they experience both on and off stage.

Tracks such as “Like Animals” and “they don’t know ’bout us” emphasize living passionately and confidently embracing who they are. “One More Night” reflects the desire to stay longer in a perfect moment, while “Please” expresses the wish to remain together no matter the circumstances. The album closes with “Into the Sun,” a song centered on the determination to run toward someone you care about.

BTS worked on the album during a songwriting session held in Los Angeles last summer. Several high-profile producers contributed to the project, including Grammy-winning producer Diplo, Ryan Tedder and El Guincho.

ARIRANG will be released March 20th at 1 PM KST. The following day, BTS will host a comeback event titled “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG” at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, which will be livestreamed on Netflix.
