Netflix has unveiled the first official stills for its upcoming series Cashero.
Cashero follows Sang Woong, an overworked salaryman drowning in wedding costs and soaring housing prices, who suddenly gains a bizarre ability: the more money he holds, the stronger he becomes. The newly released 12 stills spotlight a refreshingly down-to-earth superhero story where cash quite literally equals power.
One standout image shows Sang Woong, played by Junho, straining to lift a car—his ordinary appearance sharply contrasted with his newfound superhuman strength. His girlfriend Min Sook, played by Kim Hye Jun, is the first to learn the secret behind his powers and immediately starts drawing up practical plans to protect his wallet. Stills of the couple anxiously huddled together hint at how they will navigate this impossible dilemma together.
Other images underline the show’s tonal contrast, pairing Sang Woong’s heroic moments—like battling flames—with the painfully relatable sight of him exhaustedly hauling sacks of rice. The juxtaposition highlights Cashero’s unique hook as a “hyper-realistic” superhero series grounded in everyday struggles.

Also drawing attention are Sang Woong’s quirky allies. Kim Byung Chul appears as Byeon Ho In, red-faced and confronting someone head-on, while Kim Hyang Gi’s Bang Eun Mi is seen carrying out missions alongside Sang Woong in the middle of a crowd. The two characters, self-proclaimed members of the Society of Korean Superhumans, promise lively chemistry as Sang Woong’s reliable support system.
On the villain side, tension rises with the introduction of the Mundane Vanguard. Lee Chae Min’s Jonathan, the arrogant youngest son, faces off against Sang Woong in a charged standoff, while Kang Hanna’s Joanna, the confident eldest daughter and heir apparent, stands surrounded by bodyguards, her gaze hinting at unpredictable moves to come.
Cashero is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on December 26th.
