Jang Na Ra is returning to the screen in a role audiences have never seen before—as a villain.
On December 15th, SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama Taxi Driver 3 unveiled a special poster featuring Jang Na Ra, following previously released villain posters for Sho Kasamatsu, Yoon Si Yoon, and Um Mun Suk, continuing the series’ reputation as a so-called “villain showcase.”
In the most recent episode, Um Mun Suk appeared as the third villain, playing Cheon Gwang Jin, a remorseless criminal responsible for illegal gambling, match-fixing, murder, and heinous crimes against his own family. His unsettling performance left a strong impression. At the same time, Taxi Driver 3 episode 8 recorded peak ratings of 15.6%, with 12.9% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 12.3% nationwide, ranking No. 1 in its time slot and topping all miniseries aired that week—cementing the show’s unstoppable run.
Jang Na Ra will make a special appearance as the fourth villain, portraying Kang Joo Ri, a former girl group member turned entertainment agency CEO. Behind the image of a successful businesswoman, Kang Joo Ri hides a twisted inner world fueled by greed. The role marks the first villain character of Jang Na Ra’s entire career.
In the newly released poster, Jang Na Ra’s chilling aura immediately draws attention—something audiences have never seen from her before. Her cold, piercing gaze carries an icy sharpness, while the slight curve of her lips hints at cunning calculation. Anticipation is building over how Jang Na Ra will bring her first-ever villain to life, and what kind of explosive chemistry she will create opposite Lee Je Hoon, who plays taxi hero Kim Do Gi.
The production team teased what lies ahead, saying, “Episodes 9 and 10 will sharply target the exploitation, abuse of power, and corruption hidden behind the glamorous success of K-pop.” They added, “It is reassuring to have actress Jang Na Ra, who has earned trust through her diverse filmography, lending strength to the series. Her transformation into a powerful villain—completely overturning her long-standing image of kindness and integrity—will be a fresh and compelling point to watch.”
