Episode 9 of SBS’s Dynamite Kiss, which aired on December 10th and hit a nationwide 6.4% rating (peaking at 7.5%), finally pushed its central romance past the breaking point—and straight into its first real kiss.
The episode also delivered a major romantic turning point. After discovering that Go Da Rim (played by Ahn Eun Jin) was neither married nor a mother, Gong Ji Hyuk (Jang Ki Yong) finally stopped holding back—and confessed his feelings with a dramatic, “Don’t go. I don’t want to let you go,” before pulling her in for a kiss.
Leading up to that moment, Ji Hyuk had been torn after learning Da Rim’s real identity right before his engagement to Yoo Ha Young (Woo Davi). Though he tried to proceed with the engagement for his mother’s sake, his mother collapsed mid-ceremony, later revealed to be an act meant to push him toward his true happiness.

Confusion and jealousy soon spiraled. Da Rim witnessed what looked like Ji Hyuk leaning in to kiss Ha Young, sending her heart sinking. Ji Hyuk, meanwhile, kept nudging her to tell the truth about who she really was, before finally demanding, “Who are you? Are you really Kim Sun Woo’s wife?”
Da Rim ultimately confessed everything—why she disappeared in Jeju, why she pretended to be a mother—and later broke down in tears telling her pretend-husband Sun Woo (Kim Mu Jun) that “it’s all over.” But Sun Woo revealed his own feelings for her, leaving all three tangled in a painful triangle.

The next day, Ji Hyuk remembered why he fell for Da Rim in the first place and found himself inventing excuses just to be near her. Even during an interview, Ji Hyuk and Sun Woo bickered like lovestruck rivals. When Ji Hyuk learned Sun Woo had confessed to Da Rim, panic set in—and that’s when he made his move, stopping her with that now-viral “Don’t go” and kissing her.

The episode ended with a star-powered surprise: Namkoong Min and Kim Ji Eun appeared as Cheon Ji Hoon and Baek Mari from One Dollar Lawyer, reuniting with director Kim Jae Hyun and sharing scenes with Jang Ki Yong and Nam Gi Ae.

The December 11 episode recorded a viewership rating of 6.6%, securing the No. 1 spot among weekday dramas for the fifth consecutive week.
In this episode, Gong Ji Hyuk finally made his feelings for Go Da Rim crystal clear. The relationship between the two took a dramatic leap forward as Ji-hyuk confessed his love, and Da Rim finally understood the depth of his sincerity.
