The latest episodes of the TVING original series Dear X have delivered a shocking turning point for Baek Ah Jin (played by Kim Yoo Jung).
In episodes 9 and 10, released on November 27th, Baek Ah Jin faces a downfall orchestrated by her agency CEO, Seo Mi Ri (Kim Ji Young). Seeking revenge for the loss of Heo In Kang (Hwang In Yeop), Seo terminates Baek’s contract and blacklists her from the industry.

Moon extends a hand to the fallen star, while everyone else turns their back on her. He reveals that he has been watching her for a long time, telling her, “Your life as an actress was the most brilliant moment of your career. I didn’t want to see it end like this.”
Moon Do Hyuk not only saves her career but also orchestrates the downfall of Seo Mi Ri to clear Baek Ah Jin’s path. However, his help comes with a single condition: he asks, “How high do you want to climb? Become my wife.”

Baek Ah Jin accepts, unaware of the dangerous instincts lurking behind Moon’s gentle smile. Moon secretly orders the elimination of Kim Jae Oh (Kim Do Hoon) to secure her for himself, which also endangers the life of her childhood friend, Yoon Jun Seo (Kim Young Dae).
Baek Ah Jin’s new life as a chaebol wife seems perfect on the surface—her return to acting is a success, and her husband is doting. Yet, she can’t shake an unsettling chill. Moon asks enigmatic questions like, “Have you ever killed someone, Ah Jin?” and her nights are plagued by terrible nightmares.
The tension explodes in the final moments when Shim Sung Hee (Kim Yi Kyung), Baek Ah Jin’s old rival who has been watching her downfall, infiltrates the mansion as a housekeeper.
Enraged by Baek Ah Jin’s return to happiness, Shim attacks her with a knife and whispers, “Your marriage… is it a blessing or a curse? Your husband…”

The final chapter of Baek Ah Jin’s ruin is fast approaching, with only two episodes left. Episodes 11 and 12 of Dear X will be released on Thursday, December 4th.
