Following the release of Episodes 7 and 8 on November 19th, the series has been generating explosive momentum. With its adrenaline-charged catharsis, The Manipulated is drawing raves from global viewers. Decider praised it as “a solid, competent thriller that takes the ‘falsely accused’ trope a step further than most shows in this category might.”
Fan reactions have been equally fervent: “Absolutely insane—completely hooked,” “Ji Chang Wook’s acting is unbelievably good; he deserves an award,” “Every moment is raw emotion—fantastic pacing and even better performances,” “Taut, clever writing with zero dull moments,” and “From leads to supporting cast, the performances hit hard.”
This rising excitement is further boosting anticipation for Episodes 9 and 10, dropping on Wednesday, November 26th.
Produced by CJ ENM and Studio Dragon, The Manipulated stars Tae Joong (played by Ji Chang Wook), an ordinary man whose life is upended when he is falsely imprisoned for a brutal crime—only to discover that everything was engineered by Yo Han (Do Kyung Soo). The series tracks his journey toward revenge in a high-intensity action narrative. Two new episodes release every Wednesday exclusively on Disney Plus.
